Annie Sloan Soft Wax

Annie Sloan Soft Wax is the perfect partner for Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan because they have been developed to work together. It can be used for protection and to give a beautiful mellow matte finish on painted furniture, cabinets, and walls. Our Soft Wax can be mixed with Chalk Paint® make a colored wax- how amazing.

Clear Soft Wax

Apply Annie’s Clear Soft Wax after your surface has been painted and the paint is dry.  Wax a section at a time.  Brush the wax on, allowing it to absorb into the paint, then remove all wax with a cloth.  Cheesecloth will work best.   The surface should not feel greasy, but dry to the touch.  Annie Sloan Soft Wax is the consistency of soft margarine in a tub so it is easy to apply, is completely colorless and has very little odor. It is water-repellent so can be used on dining room tables and kitchens. Wipe clean regularly with a damp cloth. Annie recommends applying Chalk Paint® decorative paint, waxing it and then sanding it for the best results. You can also color the Clear Soft Wax with a little Chalk Paint®.

Dark Soft Wax

Apply Annie’s Dark Soft Wax by rubbing every which way so the Dark Soft Wax seeks out all the crevices and texture of the painted surface.  Leave to absorb for a minute then wipe off the excess with a clean dry cloth.  Cheesecloth will work best.  Use Clear Soft Wax to take off some Dark Soft Wax if you need to.
